Right of access to personal data and other rights
1. The data owner has the right to receive confirmation of the existence of their personal data, even if they have not already been registered. The communication of this data must be in an intelligible form.
2. A subject has the right to be informed
a) regarding the origin of the personal data;
b) regarding the objectives and processing methods;
c) regarding the logic applied to the processing, if the latter is performed with the aid of electronic media;
d) in relation to the identification data relating to the data controller, the data processors and the representative appointed pursuant to Section 5(2);
e) regarding the entities or categories of entities to which the personal data may be communicated and who should be aware of such data as designated representative in the State/territory, data processors or persons responsible for processing.
3. The data owner has the right to obtain
a) updating, rectification or, where there is interest, integration of data;
b) cancellation, anonymisation or blocking of data processed illegally, including data whose conservation is not necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or subsequently processed;
c) certificate of the operations performed as per letters a) and b) have been notified, as they are also connected to the content, to the identities to which the data have been communicated or distributed, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly effort disproportionate to the right to be protected.
4. The data subject has the right to object, in whole or in part,
a) in the presence of legitimate reasons, the processing of personal data that refer to him/her, even if they are indispensable for the purpose of collection;
b) regarding the processing of personal data that refer to him/her if this is performed for the purpose of sending advertising material or direct sales or for carrying out market research or commercial communications.
